Because final data and results of data analysis ultimately will be used for management and policy decision making, system outputs and data dissemination often become a focal point of data collection or hydrologic modeling systems. RTi's philosophy is to provide solutions that allow the creation and dissemination of consistent, integrated, and clear data products, regardless of system complexity. For example, for a data collection system alone data products are created from the data stored in the data management system. However, in a modeling system data products can include the original data along with model results. In both cases the definition of data products, the tools to produce the products, and the data products themselves are consistent and integrated.

Solutions using RTi's RiverTrak® System and TSTool as well as NWSRFS offer similar features to support the production and dissemination of data products and display of information as graphical images, tables, and reports. The data products may be made available on a website to display real-time flood inundation mapping for use in emergency management, for example. Data dissemination via the Internet also may be used for communication between state agencies and the general public, for example, data from the RiverTrak® System in New Hampshire. Depending on system complexity and client needs, RTi implements a variety of web-based solutions including Internet map servers. We work closely with our clients to determine the appropriate solution for the implementation of a new website or data product integration with a client's existing website.
