RTi provides the technical training and technology transfer that is integral and critical to successful water management systems and programs. RTi has been a leader in developing and implementing specific development processes and services for water institutions, and then transferring those technologies to clients, local groups and officials. Of primary importance on international projects is effective training of host-country staff and water users, using appropriate technology. RTi's technical training and technology transfer programs have included:

• Training hydrometeorological specialists in stream gauge installation, data monitoring, and in developing and using data management systems and forecasting tools
• Developing and implementing country-wide training programs for local institutional development and farmer organizations
• Developing, conducting, and evaluating extensive training programs for river and flood forecasting systems
