RTI International acquires Water Resource Engineering division of Riverside Technology
Fort Collins, Colorado, January 9, 2017 — Riverside Technology, inc. has reached a merger agreement with RTI International, wherein RTI has acquired the Fort Collins based consulting division of Riverside. This division provides water resources management and engineering services to clients worldwide. The non-consultation portion of Riverside will continue to be based in Fort Collins, CO and serve its Federal customers including NOAA, USGS, US Fish and Wildlife, USDA, and others with scientific support services.

Riverside launches the RiverTrak ™ Flood Inundation Mapping System
Fort Collins, Colorado, November 1, 2016 — Riverside Technology, inc. is pleased to announce the official launch of the RiverTrak ™ Flood Inundation Mapping System. RiverTrak's unique process rapidly produces maps in real time, provides forecast maps, and offers a library of scenario maps. Riverside Awarded World Bank-funded Project for the Brahmaputra River

Riverside to serve on water resources panel at AMS 2016 Summer Community Meeting
Riverside's Director of Business Development and Water Information Products, Brian Ashe, and Director of Client-Site Operations, George Smith, will attend the AMS 2016 Summer Community Meeting in Tuscaloosa, Alabama from July 19 — 21. This year's theme is Water is Life: Societal Challenges and Enterprise Opportunities.

Brian Ashe will join three others in a panel discussion titled From Science to Action: Building a water availability prediction regional-scale services solu...tion for the Water Enterprise on Wednesday, July 20 from 10:45 AM -12:15 PM. The discussion will focus on the relationship of water resources science to operations value chain. The intended meeting outcome is to use the information from panel discussions and community feedback to identify short- and long-term opportunities in solving water, weather, and climate challenges.

Riverside to present at national water information event
Riverside was asked to join in an invitation-only event which will include experts from U.S. federal agencies, major companies, civil society, and universities in Washington, D.C. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Department of the Interior, the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works (OASACW), and other U.S. federal agencies, with support from the U.S. Water Partnership (USWP) and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), are holding this event from July 12-14.

Brian Ashe, Riverside's Director of Business Development and Water Information Products, will join three others in a rountable panel discussion on Water Partnerships: Collaborating to Create and Use Water Information on Wednesday, July 13.

Riverside and Colorado State University hosted a water and climate summit for alumni experts
The two-day 2016 Water and Climate Initiative summit was hosted jointly by Riverside Technology, the College of Engineering, and the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA, a partnership between CSU and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). Attendees at the prestigious summit included many CSU alumni — a large number from the College of Engineering — who have taken prominent positions across the globe, delving into water resource and management issues on every continent.

Riverside Water Resources Engineer Ian Maycumber Presents at 2016 EWRI Congress in West Palm Beach
Riverside Technology is pleased to attend and present at the 2016 World Environmental and Water Resources (EWRI) Congress in West Palm Beach next week. Water Resources Engineer Ian Maycumber will present Needs Assessment and Design of a Regional Hydro-meteorological Monitoring System in the Nile Basin on Tuesday, May 24 at 2p.m.

The EWRI was created in 1999 with the goal of integrating technical expertise and public policy in the planning, design, construction, and operation of environmentally sound and sustainable infrastructure impacting air, land, and water resources.

Riverside Water Resources Engineer Jon Quebbeman Presents at USGS Fort Collins Science Center
Riverside Water Resources Engineer Jon Quebbeman will present Integration of Vegetation and Hydrology at a training workshop for researchers and resource managers in water, agriculture, natural resources, and the environment on Wednesday, May 18 at 11am at the USGS Fort Collins Science Center. The workshop is offered by Climate Change and Water Working Group, which offers a working-level forum for federal agencies that provides engineering and scientific collaborations in support of water management under a changing climate. Riverside Water Resources Engineers Simon Draijer and Gabe Miller Present at Deltares Software Days

Riverside Water Resources Engineers Simon Draijer and Gabe Miller are attending and presenting at the 2016 North American Deltares Software Days in Portland, Oregon from March 7 to March 10, 2016.  The goal of the four day program is to connect Delft-FEWS and Delft3D clients and future clients in North America. On Wednesday March 9th, Gabe Miller will co-present, “Forecasting Modernization Project at TVA,” with Nathan Barber and Ed Roush from TVA starting at 9:30 AM, PST. On Thursday March 10th, Simon Draijer will offer a presentation on the topic of developing Delft-FEWS applications at 1:30 PM, PST.  

Press Release: Riverside selected to staff prominent science and technical support task for NOAA
Fort Collins, Colorado, March 3, 2016 – Riverside Technology, inc. is pleased to announce our selection by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide scientific and technical support to the COSMIC-2 mission. The goal of this international partnership between NOAA, the U.S. Air Force, and the Taiwanese National Space Organization (NSPO) is to develop a constellation of 12 small satellites to collect atmospheric data and Global Navigation Satellite System-Radio Occultation (GPSS-RO) measurements of the Earth’s atmosphere. The data collected from these satellites will aid NOAA in global weather prediction, including severe weather forecasts, as well as further research into Earth’s climate and gravity systems.

Riverside turns 30!
2015 was a milestone year for Riverside Technology. It marked our 30th year in business providing environmental solutions to government and private industries worldwide. What began in 1985 as a very small company that focused on monitoring, environmental baseline data collecting, and permitting has grown into a 160-person company with an emphasis on forecasting, with projects ranging from large-scale decision support systems  to customized software solutions across the globe.
