Land Use

The impact of properly utilizing land is key and critical to the environment and involves many characteristics. To appropriately plan for land usage, knowledge of the area, policies, historical information and future demands all come into play. Riverside staff continues working with various organizations and local communities on land use issues. Some of our activities in this area includes studies of past, present and future land use demands, urban irrigation monitoring, and using GIS to collect and analyze data for planning.
